MoEF Clearance for Hazardous Waste Import in India – CORPSEED
Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) is responsible for the management of hazardous waste under the Hazardous Waste Management Rules, 2016. The rules govern the import, export, collection, transportation, and storage of hazardous waste, including their treatment and disposal. To obtain clearance for hazardous waste import, the importer must obtain Import License from the MoEFCC and other relevant authorities. The MoEFCC has been implementing various measures to ensure the effective management of hazardous waste and to protect the environment and public health.
